First, identify your starting point. Then move forward in order without skipping the foundations that protect your money.

01

Build the foundation

Personal finance

Organize income, spending, debt, saving, and an emergency fund before risking capital.

02

Build wealth

Investing

Define your goals, timeline, and risk to build a portfolio you understand and can sustain.

03

Trade with a process

Trading

Learn stocks before options, practice in simulation, and protect capital with written rules.

Your next step depends on where you are today.

A real story

I wasn't born understanding the markets. I started by asking questions.

I'm Vicente García del Río, a Mexican immigrant. For the past 13 years, I have worked in the restaurant industry. I started as a dishwasher and, through hard work and consistency, advanced to busser, food runner, server, assistant manager, and finally general manager.

That journey taught me something important: working hard is valuable, but it is not always enough to build freedom.

That is why I began studying personal finance, investing, and trading. Here I share my learning process and what I have learned, explained clearly and practically so you can understand it too.

This space does not promote shortcuts. It documents the journey.

Why this project?

Financial education in Spanish, without promises of quick riches.

Many people do not begin investing because they feel language is a barrier or financial terminology is too complex. The internet is also filled with promises of getting rich quickly.

Here we explain saving, investing, and trading in Spanish, in a simple and straightforward way, with practical examples that help you understand each concept. You can also ask questions and learn without false promises.

This is not about easy money. It is about learning, analyzing, and making better-informed decisions.

Library by stage

Explore each stage at your own pace.

Starting to invest requires a solid foundation. Before putting our money to work, we should build a financial shield that helps us handle unexpected expenses without touching our investments, giving them the time they need to grow.

That shield is built with simple but essential habits: following a budget, saving consistently, creating an emergency fund, managing debt, using credit responsibly, and setting clear financial goals. Consistency and discipline turn these habits into a solid foundation for moving into investing and, later, trading.

The portion of your income that you set aside for future needs and goals instead of spending it today.

Emergency fund

Money reserved for unexpected events, such as a repair, illness, or temporary loss of income.

Stage 02 · Investing

Concepts for building long-term wealth.

ETFs and stocks

A stock represents ownership in a company; an ETF brings multiple assets together in one investment to make diversification easier.

FIBRAs and CETES

FIBRAs are Mexican real estate investment trusts that generate rental income. CETES are Mexican government securities with defined terms and yields.

Compound interest

When earnings are reinvested and begin producing returns of their own, helping money grow over time.

Long-term portfolio

A diversified mix of investments chosen according to your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance, supported by consistent contributions.

Stage 03 · Trading

Concepts for reading the market and trading with a plan.

Stocks

Small ownership shares in a company. Traders buy or sell them to seek opportunities from price movements.

Options from scratch

Contracts that provide the right to buy or sell an asset at a specified price before a deadline.

Technical analysis

The study of price, volume, and charts to identify trends, levels, and possible entry or exit opportunities.

Fundamental analysis

An evaluation of a company's finances, business, and economic environment to estimate its strength and value.

Risk management

Defining how much to risk, where to exit if a trade fails, and how to protect capital before seeking a profit.

Trading journal and discipline

Recording each trade, reviewing the results, and following clear rules to learn and avoid impulsive decisions.

My working principles

01

Protect your capital

Before thinking about how much you can earn, define how much you are willing to lose.

02

Follow your process

A good decision does not depend only on the outcome of one trade.

03

Think long term

Consistency and knowledge matter more than chasing quick profits.
